“The First Translation Published Since I created a publishing house called ‘Global Baptist Press’, the first book is finally in print. This is Dr. Jack Hyles’ “The Church’ and now it is in Korean language. I am very excited about this because our churches and pastors need better understanding on the doctrine of the New Testament Local Independent Baptist Church. I plan to distribute it to our pastors and workers when we have a National Fellowship Meeting in Mogpo, Korea this month. Please pray that God would bless this book and help our pastors to understand and build churches that are fit to be called New Testament Churches. I am now preparing to put another book into print, which is Dr. Paul Chappell’s book ‘Heart For God’.”

“We were also blessed to see how the Lord was working through these choice servants in such a difficult and spiritually oppressed place. Both Sandi and I were thanking the Lord for His gracious call to us to the Philippines.”

“Buwansin Verda and I as well as fellow Missionary Stan Roe were invited to hold a Gospel outreach meeting in the coastal village of Buwansi which has been known for their animosity towards any ‘new mission’. As a result of five days of preaching and teaching God’s Word, ten adults were saved. We have been invited back and are praying that a church will be planted.”

“Three people saved and three baptized at #6 This past month Verda and I were able to lead 3 people to the Lord. On September 2nd, I baptized three people adding them to our membership. It was also my first time to have a parent/baby dedication. I had the privilege of leading these couples to the Lord, baptizing them, and officiating their weddings and now dedicating them and their children to the Lord. Please pray for Steven and his wife, Jenny and Molian and his wife Ester as first generation Christian parents who desire to raise godly children. God is doing some wonderful things in our church family. Please continue to pray with me that Bible Baptist Church would continue to grow spiritually and numerically.”
“Wau Baptist Church celebrating 50 years of ministry The tent has been set up. Wau Baptist Church is full of activity preparing for the 50 year celebration which begins September 12. Some guests have already arrived. Our missionary team here in Wau is expecting to host up to 15 missionaries families. We are looking forward to great preaching and fellowship. Please pray that we would be an encouragement to all who come.”
“Planning for furlough Next year at this time, we plan to be back in the States. I have been invited to participate in my so, Kenneth Keck’s ordination,.”

“Building – As the Lord provides through the offerings of the church, we are progressing slowly towards the finish of the church building. We are now meeting in the first phase. The past few Sundays the building has been filled and we are in the process of extending the seating capacity. The month of May and June we have seen 10 visitors attend services. I am encouraged as our people have been visiting and inviting friends and family to come to church. Two people came for salvation. This is truly a blessing of God, since we are in National elections. Elections are usually a time of fighting, deaths, and destruction of property and people are somewhat hesitant to travel. Praise the Lord this election time has been relatively peaceful.”

“A New Start. We have been asking prayer for a piece of property that would allow us to expand the Institute ministry and also permanently house the television and radio studios. The Lord opened the door to obtain temporary financing in order to secure the property. We began moving to the new facilities the day we arrived back in Honduras! Please continue to pray that the Lord would allow us to pay off this property in a timely fashion.”

“Around supper time (9:30ish) Christmas night, the four of us set out to find the homeless. We wanted to share the Love of God through a hot meal. It was surprising to see so many people out in the streets this evening. It was quite odd to us. But the opportunity to give certainly does stir the soul. It’s an old, old custom that began when God gave because He so loved the world.”

“Bible Institute Opportunity. The Lord has opened the door to possibly purchase property adjacent to the current Bible Institute property in our possession. It is approximately one acre of land with a private residence constructed on it. It also has a separate building that would house institute classes and be a permanent home for the TV and Radio studios! The current owners are asking for $65,000. They would prefer we be the future owners so that their property would continue to glorify Christ!”

“During the New Year we are going to start building our new church on our property which we have purchased and paid for. Praise the Lord the church has enough in reserve to get a good start on the construction. Because our church is still small, progress on the building will be slow, but we […]
