Visit to the Middle East  “It was our first time to go to Oman in the Middle East.  We were invited by Pastor Ricardo Reynoso of the Open Bible Baptist Church.  A former member of the main work here, George Dairo, migrated with his family to Muscat, Oman and is currently one of the deacons of the church.  It was the churches second anniversary.  We were there for 11 days and I was given the opportunity to speak 6 times.  There were 187 for their anniversary service; 16 professions of faith were made during our stay and four followed the Lord in the waters of baptism.  There were eight different nationalities in the anniversary service.”

“The Lord gave us another great Preacher’s and Men’s Camp in the mountains of Baguio.  There were 17 of us that went from Berean.  One of the many blessings was that four of the men were there for the first time.  One of the first timers is Edgardo Tolentio (Egay for short) who I asked prayer for several months ago for salvation.  His wife Kay was saved when they lived in New Zealand.  They came back to live in the Philippines in 2008. Egay came to the morning services for quite some time and even made a profession of faith in his home one Saturday morning.  But something happened right after that and he completely stopped coming.  A little over a month ago he was in the hospital for surgery on tumors in his liver.  One of the men and I visited him in the hospital and had the opportunity to witness to him again.  His testimony is that before his surgery his wife Kay asked him if he didn’t make it through the surgery did he know where he would go.  He didn’t  know; but the Lord used that to bring him to the place of repentance and genuine trust in the Lord.  He was baptized a few weeks later.”
