Terry Lee Fattig, 73, of Jerome passed way Monday, March 12, 2018 at home. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Mary Sue (Ervin) Fattig; his son, Steven Fattig; his daughter, Melissa Ash; and 4 grandchildren.
Born in Twin Falls, Idaho, the son of Clifford and Doris (Peterson) Fattig, he was raised in Idaho and Missouri. Upon graduating high school in Blackfoot, Idaho, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Missions at Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri. He met his wife, Mary Sue, at BBC, and they were latter married in 1965 at Lakewood Bible Baptist Church, Lakewood, California.
Terry and Mary Sue were approved as missionaries of Baptist Bible Fellowship International in 1970, serving in Mexico for 13 years, and Chile for 27 years. Terry retired from the mission field in 2006. Terry then served as the associate pastor at the Bible Baptist Church in Mountain Home, Idaho from 2013 to 2015. Returning to Jerome because of failing health, Terry, nevertheless, remained an active member of Jerome Bible Baptist Church until God called him home.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, March 23, 2018 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln Avenue, Jerome, Idaho. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday March 24, 2018, at Jerome Bible Baptist Church, 132 2nd Avenue East, Jerome, Idaho, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am. Grave dedication will conclude at Jerome Cemetery.
